CHILDREN’S MINISTRY

As an intergenerational church, we value the interactions between our children and the older adults in our church family. The children who worship with us are a vital part of our congregation and are treated as such. From children’s time during Sunday services, to Sunday School, to participating in mission activities and even helping lead worship – Faith kids do it all!

Infants – preschool children are invited to attend both worship services (8:30 & 10:30) or they can opt to visit our Nursery during worship times where they will be cared for by our Nursery Coordinator and a caring group of volunteers.  A special Preschool Class is offered during the Sunday School time (9:30-10:20) using the “God Loves Me” series of Storybooks that tell the story of the Bible using simple illustrations, words and follow-up activities.

Elementary children are invited to attend both worship services (8:30 & 10:30) with their families.  Older elementary children are often asked to participate as worship leaders by reading scripture, taking up the offering and participating in special drama presentations.

During the Sunday School time (9:30-10:20) elementary children engage with God’s Story using Rotation-style learning where they visit one of several rooms each week to participate in art, drama, storytelling and more!

Children at Faith are encouraged to PUT THEIR FAITH INTO ACTION by participating in mission projects with their families and with their own age group throughout the year.  Packing food boxes, creating health kits, and assembling summer fun buckets are just some of the many opportunities where children can learn and grow in their acts of discipleship!
